..With all the technology available today they could acheive anything if they wanted to. Hand it to Lucas' ILM gang and it could look perfect. Thau's version looks like it was done on a shoestring.

I love that shot of Jor-El staring at Lois. Brando could scare the shit out of anyone with that look. I think you did well with this cut, it works pretty well. If they were to do a 'definitive cut' (like with blade runner) of S2, then the only way I can think that they could get around certain issues (like your temp shots of lois in the supes top) is to create cgi body doubles. They would have to be of the standard of Beowulf and seen from a distance so as not to look too fake...

What you seem to be overlooking with that comment is that Selutron is dong this on no budget at all. Obviously the money spent on the DC was put to good use by allowing this footage to be seen and used by fans, but some of the choices made by the editor in the DC were so misguided it was unbelievable. Crappy CGI where simple composites would have done, etc.
