I am all for you, but it would be easier to prove if I knew where this scientific proof was. Are there real hard science journal articles on it or something? I have my BS and MS in biology and followed animal behavior, so I know how to read these articles well enough.

I totally agree, but I think sometimes that people refer to a certain percentage of dobermans coming out in the 70s, that really were bad tempered due to poor breeding by amateurs. Of course, there were problems with the cocker spaniel too, but THEY are not vilified to this day. One friend said a vet Xrayed a dobe that was acting nasty and there was a bone spur hitting the brain. That surprised me. I've never heard of this being a dobe-specific issue though.

Whoever said dobermans aren't easy to train needs to educate himself. They can sometimes be hard headed but it's because they are a very intelligent breed.

Your animal lover friends are not intelligent at all. It's people like them that hear that then spread it to someone else and before you know it the breed has been labeled. NO dog is born aggressive or born a fighting dog....it's been scientifically proven.

It has been proven that being born a certain breed does not make the dog aggressive. They need to ban people that abuse and neglect animals, there are a ton of them. Who the hell came up with this ban anyway?

Dobermans don't turn on their owners i know as long as you treat them with respect and never hit it it will never turn on you.the people that get bitten by their dogs are the 1's that did some thing wrong.any dog can turn on their loved because they got abused earlier in their life i know dog owners that rescued theirs dogs from a bad owner he was white and the dogs turn violent when a white person is near thats just and example it all depends how u treat

This is great. I always wanted a dobie, but my co op board has banned pit bulls, dobies and rottie "due to the noteriety of these breeds." Friends of mine who are generally animal lovers and intelligent people, have suprised me by saying that "dobies turn on their owners." Shocking and sad.

Its not good to say any breed is dangerous. Dogs are not killers
