Evidently, you are use to hearing callas and not taking the time to here other people. Joan and Birgit are for better than callas. Callas voice started to fail her when she got sick. Joan Sutherland can just about sing anything

My God, it's so good to see the greats, again! Callas.....my Lord, the ACTING! I saw this clip years ago, my first sight of Callas, and I find it every bit as electrifying as I did then. Thanks,deep thanks, to whoever posted this. It's a real pleasure to see it again.

OK, Belcantomina, since I have a good heart I will tell the English speakers that recently an article came out in a medical magazine in which Callas' doctor, no longer required to maintain professional secrecy, has revealed the reasons for Callas' slow vocal decline: the "Divine One" was affected by a rare disease of the connective tissue, dermatomyositis, which even encroached on vocal function...nevertheless she continued to sing as noone now would be able to. Enough

Also take a look to for Eugenia Moldoveanu's map.....she's also one of the greatest DIVA'S ever existed ....you must leasen her singing you will be impresed..or maybe you know her becouse she's also very popular...
