When I heard they were coming together again for a few tunes I wondered if they would be any good together after all those years. This song proved they still had it and then some.RIP John & George

The haunting tone of John Lennons singing of Free as a bird brings a tear to my eye. Nearly 28 years on its still an awful waste. What a tribute to a true legend.

It is absolutely amazing (and a tribute to their talent and genius) that 25 years after the Beatles broke-up and with one of their members dead, they were able to cobble together a song as fine as this one. The high points, for me, are George's vocal and guitar solos. Oh, what the lads might have created had they been able to stay together a bit longer. But it was not to be, and we can be thankful that they left for us a veritable treasure trove of wonderful music.

My kids have listened to the Beatles since they were born. It's just amazing how beautiful, loveing, empathetic, and artistic their souls are becoming... i beleive music like this has a lot to do with that.I wish more of the world felt this influence.
