Wolf, you need to give credit to DC for putting CC's BJ on the map. Before Idols performance of BJ, CC's Carry On was sitting on the shelf without movement. CC is the quintessential rocker, DC is new and less experienced. No credible rock fan would dis DC for being a new comer who has a future. Lets see what he can produce as original works, then decide. Until them, he is a good voice and that's it. Cornell is top of the heap vocally and as a singer/songwriter. This album is friggin tops .

How can you compare david cook to chris cornell? american idol vs. soundgarden??? nothing vs. audioslave??? i think we all know who the better vocalist is.

if he sang it as well as DC sang it... then yes probably. I mean the vid didnt get over 3.8 million views because he was simply popular. He has talent and it amazed people DC's live version sounded different the Chris Cornell's, DC's studio sounded pretti much the same i'll give u that much... xoxo lovey

Everyone knows Billie Jean by the name alone. He doesn't have to give thanks to MJ, it comes along with saying the name. Everyone knows who the King of Pop is.On the other hand, not many knew Cornell's cover till Cook performed it.
