pyrokidd- If you actually did your homework and researched and compared car companies, car years, car make, and car size from the U.S. and Japan you'd be surprised at how much better American cars do than their Japanese counterparts.Bottom line: -Some American cars are fine while others are not. -Some Japanese cars are fine while others are not.For instance I would much rather buy a Buick over a Suzuki. Buick scores MUCH higher on quality ratings while Suzuki rates very low.

Hmmm, interesting personal opinion that you have there. Some North American autos rank better than Honda. Not sure why you think North American companies can't compete when they perform better than Honda and other Japanese makes.

Jap cars are absolutely more reliable than american cars...i know someone who has a toyota 4runner with about 300,000 miles on it and it has not given him any problems, his friend on the other hand has a mustang gt that is always in the shop(plus jap cars handle better)

In my opinion the best jap rig is Honda,I have a honda civic with 317,000 miles on it and still starts like a new one,and gos down the road,and I haven't been gentle with this car,it's been down logging roads and probably 20,000 of those miles is dirt road at never under 45 mph(it's treated as if it was a rally car)thank God for jap engineering it is finally what FORCED american companies into trying to make a good auto,and they still can't compete yet.

generalleelives- You have to be one of the most realistic person on these Toyota videos. However, in addition to Mitsubishi there is also Suzuki, Daihatsu, Subaru, and Mazda. Just to name a few that get away with the "Japaese quality" BS.Even some of the Toyotas get away with the "quality" thing. Recently Consumer Reports has been more closely scrutinizing Toyota and are no longer giving them passing grades just based on the name Toyota. They've realized that Toyota also has many problems.
