Sorry - but this is a great song that has been emasculated by the tedious arrangement, and then had a prodigous amount of violin talent wasted on it. Why not play violin music instead of hi-jacking a great piece that should be left to the singers and pianists

It's NOT fake. I am very familiar with this piece, having played it myself. All of Hahn's fingerings and bowings in this video are correct. She plays the notes exactly as written. People may be tempted to think this is a fake because the piece is obviously extremely difficult, and Hahn makes it look so very easy and effortless. But that is simply part of what sets her apart from other violinists.

I dont understand why anyone would want to "pretend" to play. I mean not pretend but the whole playback thing, being something your not and letting people down is all you'd do. Maybe it's just me we all have different opinions. |
