Don't debate dogma.Perhaps a better question to ask is why the "lamb of god" will return as the lion to destroy the Earth and all creation. To judge the wicked (past and present) and cast those not worthy into the eternal pits of fire. What kind of love is that? Especially when you consider he created it all in the first place with full knowledge of what would happen (care of his omniscience).

good on ya buddy im with you tooive only ever been to cathlioc schools and half the stuff they teach us is like you said, contradicts science! funnily enough they also teach us the theory of evolution in science class then teach us the creation story in religion class. but one thing that bugs me is that if god loves everyone then why is there a need for hell?
