I have one question. When answering I would rather or I would prefer you use the basic verb on both, am I right? So the difference between the answer in both statements is just TO or THAN?Thank you for your lessons, I just starting it today and I am planning in visit your site in a daily basic.Emilia

You figured it out on your own! :)You're correct: The infinitive uses "to" and the base verb doesn't. Some constructions require one or the other so it's helpful to know the terms; you can understand grammar explanations.

Nice explanation. Nevertheless I have a question. What is the difference between a base verb and an infinitive? Is it that an infinitive is build with a "to ..." while a base verb hasn't got a "to"? In german we don't have any difference between these forms. E.g. "laufen" (to run) is the infinitive and THE basic form. You can't find any form that is more basic... :-)
