Well at the time it sure looked real.

Hah... I love how you can see Larry David for a split second in the end.
risen27 (March 18, 2008 at 5:43 am)
oh man how could anyone ever think this thing was real.

You sure can tell what the times were like when the crowd was cheering and yelping as the actors went and "smoked it up". People may do that today, but back in the 60s-70s, that was just ...madness

Glad to see this clip, at least the actual event as it happened instead of the movie version, even though the movie was great. It's funny, in the movie I think they actually make the fight look a little more violent than it actually was. Either way it's classic, I almost forgot that it was Michael Richards in that bit too. Also, I can see why you deleted comments here, in almost ever AK posting here people are still arguing about Andy, too goddamn funny, and really a perfect trubute to the man!!

i just added a new andy clip, check it out, andy admits that fridays was staged.

ok, i erased the comments to start fresh, everyone arguing staged or not. it was staged. andy, michael, & melanie have all admitted so. andy only told michael, the prod, & the director he was going to break character & go w/it. the rest was adlib. most perfs. by andy were a put on, they may end up real, which is what he strived for, but always started planned. hate him/love him, he achieved his goal! i have 4 dvds of RARE ANDY & 7 dvds of FRIDAYS on my webpage; -classics2dvd- thanks |
