Whenever life gets me down I turned to this Coltrane classic "Alabama" because there is no othe timeless composition that expresses the sorrow of a nation than this track with no lyrics. RIP to the Four Little Girls, and the man who penned this beauty...

Ahh.. love this. Great slow build up, very sad and very appropriate for the subject matter Trane was ruminating on at the time. No matter what improvements are made, the thousands of innocents abused in this country cannot be justified. It leaves such a horrible mark on our national identity. But, wonderful to know that people like Trane existed. Oh, and Elvin.... nice jacket, man! LOL.
