Sometimes it depends on whether you sign up for alot of crap that you don't need, newsletters, email from buisnesses and so fourth. They want to make money so they simply start to spam you. Because they make money by selling your email address to spammers. So it might not be Gmail's fault.

Gmail's excellent spam-fighting technology not only makes your Inbox a friendlier, more productive place, it also saves you time. Time you can spend doing the things you enjoy, like practicing your dance moves, or...** You get the picture**(by the way, this was a reply to fenchurch7's comment)

**More after where DiscussToUnderstand left the captions:**Here's another way we stop spam:"Budget pharmaceuticals?"The dreaded image spam! These embedded images not only cost you time, but they hog memory and clog bandwidth. They're also hard to catch. But not for us. Optical character recognition and Google Book Search helps us block image spam before it gets to you. It's just one of many spam-fighting technologies we have in our arsenal. So there you have it.

tomchow911, as long as you don't open the spam box and go through the 800 spams that should be fine, alternatively u can go 2 spam box, click on select all and click on delete forever, it takes 2 secs;in my experience I have never seen a non-spam message there so, u can trust this. |
