I admire that he can coordinate playing the bass with singing, great work

But Les uses exactly the same slap technique as Larry Graham, look at his fingers during playing and compare it to Larry, I don't see differences(talking about technique, not music style). Stanley Clarke has his own slap technique, because he's originally double-bass player.Graham was revolutionary,Claypool is "just" realy cool bassplayer. But best in the world is André Gomes and his former fusion group Cheiro de Vida,if you want to see something much cooler than claypool look for this on youtube

How does that even remotely make him better than les. So by your logic since George Washington was the first american president makes him the best right?
deltaknight1 (July 16, 2008 at 5:03 am)
larry graham is better. he invented the style, claypool just borrowed it.

That's what happens when you hang around Sly Stone

The ending was funking crazy.I didn't know a bass could make sounds like that.I first noticed him when he opened for Prince during the Emancipation tour. Now, I'm wishing I paid more attention to his show.
