Guess who got on the news? IT WASN'T WAL-MART! Hey guess who's gazebos the news crews that were there took shelter under during the shitty weather? WAL-MARTS! Fuck you Unions and, Wal-Mart haters, educate yourselves. The Unions that intentionally make Wal-Mart look bad are the ones that are destroying America and they are taking advantage of your ignorance. I am an hourly supervisor in South Dakota, 3734.

I hate hearing how "bad" Wal-Mart is because it bullshit! Remember that bridge disaster in Minnesota? Guess what? Wal-Mart was the first one there. Also, they donated an entire truck-full of food to everyone working to save lives. They brought grills, and grilled food for the rescue workers throughout the ENTIRE THING! Hey guess what, Bestbuy and Target didn't just sit around either. Guess what they did. They relocated they employees from across the city to stores closer to the accident site.-->

Did you know that unions against Wal-Mart say that Wal-Mart pays its employees minimum wage and that they don't get benefits. TOTAL LIE! THERE IS NOT ONE WAL-MART IN THE WORLD THAT DOES THAT. Guess what? Unions hired homeless people at MINIMUM WAGE with NO BENEFITS just to protest outside of Wal-Marts in Phoenix and Las Vegas. WTF?!----->

The difference is Wal-Mart buys smarter, therefor sells for cheaper! That's it! It's doing doing no more harm to America than any other retailer. But it IS doing much greater things for the American people. Wal-Mart donates more than $300,000,000 A YEAR to communities across the USA. Not one single business donates that much.--->

Wrong. You don't need a MBA. In fact the percentage of managers that started off as hourly associates is pretty large. All you need to do is get accepted into the training program. It is really easy to move up in the company. All you have to do is work hard and apply for the openings that can help you along. You don't know why someone would start a career at Wal-Mart. But you answered your own question. If not, then its just a part time job where low wages are the norm.

Yes but the store manager position, I assume, is one in which an MBA is required, so they're not just pulling any chap off the street that wants to work there and eventually promoting him all the way to the top (although I'm sure someone probably did that, very rarely though).IDK why any young person would want to start a career at WM unless it's the last existing possibility (and that's not likely to be true)...retailing sucks...work a lot and not much pay.Even the store manager works a lot
