It's sometimes possible to recognize when you've recently contracted HIV from signs and symptoms such as fever, rash, or swollen lymph nodes. This video will teach you how to recognize signs and symptoms of primary HIV infection that are experienced by between 40 and 90% of individuals after they are first infected with HIV. Primary HIV infection occurs during the first few weeks or months after a person first becomes infected with HIV. Symptoms include rash and/or fevers, possibly in combination with one or more of the following symptoms: malaise (which is a general feeling of weakness, discomfort, and fatigue), loss of appetite, weight loss, a sore throat, sores in the mouth, joint or muscle pain, swollen lymph nodes, diarrhea, fatigue, night sweats, nausea and vomiting, headache, or genital sores. The symptoms usually last from seven to ten days, and rarely more than two weeks. There is an incubation period of a few days to a few weeks between when the person was exposed to HIV and when the symptoms begin. If you have any of these symptoms and think there's even the slightest chance you might have been exposed to HIV, such as through recent sexual activity or sharing a needle, even with someone who you believe is HIV negative, you should see a doctor and ask to be tested for HIV. When you go to the doctor with any of these symptoms, it's very important to mention any risk factors you may have for HIV so they could test you. If you have ever had unprotected sex, even once, have used injection drugs, or think you might be experiencing primary HIV infection, make sure to tell your doctor. Lets hope that you have not gotten it, but HIV is not a death sentence... it does not mean you cannot carry on a normal life. With the new medicines out there, many go onto live with it and can treat it like someone would diabetes or other chronic condition... it is annoying but you learn to deal.

That would make you a mass murderer. That kind of totalitarian thinking led to the Nazi programs of eugenics and genocide. You have no right to murder others. And it's strange that you're focusing on HIV to the exclusion of other diseases and STDs. Why not people with syphilis, or XDR-TB? You should be ashamed of yourself.

If you could kill all the HIV-positives in the world, by one button click, would you do it?I certainly would.

Wow, that's a lot to have on your plate at once. Hang in there. What country do you live in? If you're in the U.S., you should be eligible for care through the Ryan White Care Act, although there are waiting lists in some areas due to insufficient funding.

No, this is scientifically and medically accurate information based directly on CDC statements and scientific journal research findings. The video explicitly states: "If you have one or more of these symptoms, does it necessarily mean you are infected with HIV? No. Many common diseases can cause one or more of these symptoms. For example, most people with a fever or sore throat are probably just experiencing common illnesses such as the cold, influenza, or mononucleosis. So don't panic."

This shit just makes everyone paranoid. Anyone who had sex, and then gets a fever will think they got HIV. "Between 40-90% of people get these symptoms" They don't even know. This is bullshit.

Hi I was diagnosed as a HIV patient in April of 2008. I have been homeless now for 18 months. I am a cancer patient as well as a Sickle Cell patient. Fighting cancer is how I became homeless. Medical care is hard to come by for me and HIV has only added to my nightmare. If not for sights like this, I would never get good information. Thanks for the information on your channel. I am adding to my favorites and adding a link to my blog as well.
