Oh my god. It is not only that these cars are really crap. The problem is, they were first developed by german firms. This cherry is the old version of the Seat Toledo, which was produced in the 90´s in Spain by VW and Seat. This cherry looks like it, but is is less safe. The cerry QQ, a smaller car is build on the platform of the VW Polo, it´s cras test was also a real disaster, and the brilliance is build on the platform of the old VW Passat. It is horror, not only for chinese but also for us.

Totally true!! If US consumers were more like that, GM would still be #1, Ford #2, & we'd still be wearing American-made clothes. Unfortunately, the Japanese are quite right. European nations and the US are losing foot basically because consumers will complain that they're losing jobs, and that local factories are closing down, but will still go buy made in China crap at WalMart, because they think they're saving... Saving on the very short term, yes!!! But losing WAY more on the long term...

I think since the overpopulation they don't mind killing off the lucky few who crash.

I like how in the last shot you see the plastic headlight cover slowly come flying at the camera. What a metaphor of the painful death that is barreling down on the consumers who buy these cars.

I make a point never to buy any Japanese products on principle. Why? I will not support such a rabidly nationalistic, xenophobic and mercantilist economy. Japs are so predatory and nationalistic. They have a closed economy and a zero-sum attitude to trade. Protectionism in the early stages of an economy is not unreasonable. But in the case of Japan it is almost a religious doctrine to keep foreign things out. If you buy a foreign car, you're seen as a traitor. Don't buy japanese cars!!!

Global scale economies. What is cheaper, eventually gets better to compete with higher quality products. Lets see what happens in 20 years. |
