shotokan a mix of muay thai jijutsu and kuykushin? Thats odd, I think its the least complete style, it does not have the knees nor lowkicks of kuykushin and muaythai, and not the elbows from muaythai. I dont know what it has from JiuJutsu, maybe some takedowns, but it is does not have good submissions if any at all.

Sorry I ment Shidōkan style of Karate created by an elder student of Masutatsu Oyama called Yoshiji Soeno,he also fighted direcly against the grand masters and lords of Muay Thai in Thailand as Mas Oyama back in the 50's but 20 years later.

Is not like I believe he actally beated a W.C.K.master in less than 1min once,many ppl deny causeof honor and self pride.Also Mas Oyama was a great man a row model to all of us and his style is a hell of a martial art but if you fight against other style you have to take the previous thing to consider and If you askme Shokan style of karate is more efective due that it combines Muay Thai JiuJitsu and Kkyokushinkai style.But in the end it's the fighter that makes the diference

Do you really belive that? bruce lee could fight, but he was more hollywood superman type of guy, against a world champion karate master as u put it, he most likely does not stand a chance.

Actually if you think that you know nothing about martial arts.The first thing you shuld know are the three basics:1stone is the timming how fas can you anticipate the oponent move 2ndone the speed how fast can null it and conterattack 3rdone power and stamina how much can you take on a certain time and how much chances you've got and efective your moves are given that time.Bruce Lee knew that so well that he culd takeout a World Champion Karate Master within a minute.
