Hi there Tom8201, Actually depends on when you saw it. Like I first saw it at night and wondered what all the fuss was about. Then in the morning, oh yeah, there were derailed cars all right. Zero hint at night though.Best wishes,The Mississauga Muse

Hi there jeebz77. I remember the one from 79 as well. The shock from the blast cracked our window when we were living at Paisley Road at the time. Our Missy Emergency Services was some kind of wonderful. Did at great job at the 1990 one as well. Thanks for your note,The Mississauga Muse

I remember that crash, I went near the scene of the wreck, though I didn't see any derailed cars.

The train crew.

Thanks mapleleafsforever for your comment.Ummmm *huge blush*... "he same crew from 79" are you talking about the train crew or the Mississauga clean up crew.Yeah, I know it sounds like a stupid question but there is a stupider one. It'd be if I didn't ask it at all.I took the tour on Mississauga Public Works "Family Day" and the tour guide showed us exactly where the '79 train derailed. I was completely surprised. I thought it happened at the same place as the 1990 one.

Hi there, Nathans9955.Not sure what you meant by your comment. This derailment happened at the southern end of Streetsville (Mississauga) on Queen St.Or are you referring to the actual railway line?

Must have been on the CP Galt Sub near Milton. |
