The version with lyrics is called "Magic Star" and it was recorded by Margie Singleton, who is better known as a country singer. Her version was released in 1963, and the lyrics were written by Telstar composer/arranger Joe Meek.

The only thing that sounds right on here is the drums. Clem Cattini was probably the only one who was still getting regular work at the time. I'd guess this was from the early 80's.

does any onr know the name of the keyboardist? we have been told it was david james...an old man that just passed away at our church..died of a sudden stroke :( sadly missed at st lukes church.does anyone know if he was actually the keyboard player?THANKScaroline
