I appreciate that he did the job he did on this but that martin just sounds to deep for what hes playing and it muddys it up. I got the same problem - I just bought a martin and the thing sounds great when your bangin out chords (Think elvis) but this stuff is just too intricate to play with a martin in my opinion. I think even he knows it at the end he says "lets change guitars"
