Actually, it wasn't, the film was shot in Berlin, where you can see old houses, buildings made during the 3rd Reich. This film makes us remember how dictatorship was and how the nazis, fascists but also communists wanted us to be: all the same, having no feelings, working to make the society progress...and making the leaders rich ^^,

The similarity between the Tetragrammaton symbol and the swastika is purely coincidental, and Father is not meant to be a takeoff on Big Brother, but instead is meant to have a pseudo-religious aspect. They're called Clerics and serve Father, the emotionlessness is meant to call to mind celibacy (another way of being forbidden to feel), etc...The "gaping inconsistencies" like DuPont and Brandt being obvious sense offenders is INTENTIONAL

Well. This movie was, without a doubt, amusing. The action was entertaining, and the suits they wore were cool. And that's about it.This movie is somewhat blatant mashup from orwell's 1984, with added nazi and other dictatorship imagery. Also the story tries to be a bit too clever, where it alas fails. There are also other more or less gaping inconsistensies and problems with the characters etc.However, after all this thrash-talking. It still was very entertaining movie, and fun to watch.
