Just wanted to mention that this is my favorite song OF ALL TIME and has been for almost 30 years now. I still find it quite odd that a 14/15 year old kid who wasn't even a huge Dylan fan would recognize a then 5 or 6 year old song like this as his favorite.I can't really explain it, it was nothing I could relate to personally at the time (or even now) that made it appeal to me, I guess I just loved the 'on the road' nature of it and the story it tells.Great video too by the way.

I was born in 1955 and this is exactly the kind of life we lived,not knowing any better,but We got through.We can still love this song(and Dylan) for what it is to each of us.Peace

Guys, I love this song and i tried to discern its meaning but your point of view is a bit different from mine and certainly more accurate with the references..... thanks for the enlightment :)
