The mythological image of "Satan" and the pagan images of Pan, et al.. are interrelated. So the "distinctions" made here between the two, as pure difference, is for dumbasses. They are related in many formal, and informal aspects.

Wow, he gives an interview with reporters in which he admits to burning down churches and then gives another interview in which he reveals information about the burnings not publicly released. Not to mention he blabs about Bard Fausts murder of a homosexual in Lillehammer and he does it all to promote his band Burzum. Definitely not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

I've read interviews with Varg and he makes claims that he's a heathen, not a Satanist. He mentioned Satan in ONE Burzum song title, and now everyone thinks he this big time Satanist guru or something when 99% of his music is inspired by Odin and J.R.R. Tolkien.

I don't think he has a clue what he was burning. He claimed to be pagan yet he burned a stave church. And really if your take out the Christian altars and put some statues of Freyr, Odin, and Thor its place you essentially have an old norse temple. What a fool.

He might as well be satanic. The dude smiled when he was found guilty and sentenced to 21 years in prison. Even if I killed someone on purpose, and was caught to be sent to prison for that long I would be too pissed to crack a smile like that fucker did.
