Mate you just cant say that. You got to admit Transmission sounds as fresh today, as it did 20 odd years ago.

Amazing. There is NO ONE like Ian.

This is some of the BEST footage of JD. They sound intense and timeless. Their sound was really coming together in 1979. Love Ian's dancing.

Great songs. His voice is brilliantly unique and the music is like nothing anyone had really heard before. The drums are fantastic too.

Joy Division still sound good but that's on studio records - a talent well crafted by Martin Hannett. Personally, I like them enormously but like everyone else, they are not free from criticism... This live version sounds like crap (most of JD live recordings do) - the sound of Barney's guitar is dreadful and completely suffocates Curtis' vocals (which is btw, not sounding anything better - the one thing I like here is the drums, but they're suffering technically like everything else)... |
