it all depends on what we talk aboutdesmond was no technical virtuoso or a melodically complex playerbut his sound, tone, and his ideas, his patterns that he made, his music is so coherent, it fits the whole way throughbut againparker wouldn't fit heredesmond wouldn't fit there

nr. 1I've never heard any other alto player with a more beautiful tone. Seriously.His phrasing is also pure poetry (in my opinion).
