Newports were often used to treat asthma because more doctors smoked Newports than any other menthol on the market. Their use as a health supplement has largely been overlooked by modern sports enthusiasts.

Yes, they were a minute long up until maybe 15 or 20 years ago. Now they're just 30, likely because of more demand for more ads in a shorter amount of time.
