Trial lawyers raise the price of medicine tremendously in the U.S. by forcing pharmaceutical companies to perform drug trial after drug trial and doctors to perform procedures they normally wouldn't, just to make sure the John Edwards's of the legal profession don't sue their pants off before a know-nothing jury. Harvard Law grad-not a defense lawyer.

You are SUCH a typical right-winger--full of misplaced hatred and homophobia (an Ann Coulter fan, by any chance?) And are you a doctor? Lawyer? Were these hospitals shut down unjustly? Did they not receive a fair trial, with judge, jury and defense? Or Edwards so insidiously brilliant that he thwarted them all? And how about that Tony Snow 'karma'?

Alfrunk, I wonder if you feel the same sense of outrage about the 2 trillion "mikssing" from the Pentagon, or the 2 trillion wasted on a counterproductiive war. That would have bought universal Health care for quite a while.

Elizabeth Edwards is such a great lady. I know why she won't give up on this campaign. It's really important for our country. I'd do the same thing if it were me. Good for her!

I'm no fan of Katie Couric (never have been), but I think it is safe to assume that Katie truly understands the impact of cancer and the emotional pain it causes. |
