Chan Marshal (Cat Power), is one of the few people I've ever encountered, where after meeting them...the mere fact that they are subjected to time like everyone else, and have to grow old and die and one day be forgotten, breaks my fucking heart. Everything from her voice to her lyrics to her physical beauty and grace and warmth, and on some odd level even some hard to define type of soulful innocence, all points to all that makes a living being precious. She's love and beauty in a shell.
