I do not agree with you, i think it depends on the individual, I see films and cinema as the most perfect art form, and i know a lot who does, for me fame has nothing to do with the film, and directors trying to hype their movies by casting famous actors win nothing with me, bergman was an absolute genius, i think directors who want to be famous and make hollywood movies, as their main goal are not directors we can expect much of, and they are not someone i would waste my money on.

To A34Z:I am not saying that some directors are not know or famous, what I am saying is that they arent seen artistically as important as other kind of artists. And that cinema is in general not seen as important as other art forms. This has nothing to do with fame.
