Oh man my school had one of these but no one knew how to use it including me and no one at the time seemed to have the floppies for it :-( can you belive they sold it for a real cheesy zoom sampler, even chucked the old atari 1040ST which I wanted! but I got the old DX-100 for free :-) Nice vid!

Sorry for the delay in my answer!.I think Emax worth a lot. It is really easy and intuitive. It allows to have shortcuts with the numeric keypad. It is like some mobiles. If you want to reach x parameter, just only have to select the main group and then press 01, 05, 07 and you will be drop into the desired parameter.I have an Akai S3000XL too, and I choose my emax for 80's sounds (even with its limited memory).Go for one of these if you can.

hey! This one does not have that mark. But the other one I own (now it is frozen and doesn't work, keys doesn't respond) has a cigarette mark in a key around the second octave. It would be great if it was a original DM Emax!

Your Emax doesn't by any chance have a cigarette burn on the case, does it? (Toward the left corner if I remember rightly.) I used to own one of DM's Music for the Masses tour Emaxes about 18 years ago, and that was the main distinguishing mark...
