I was replying to tjulen1, when he said he would like to see billyguns playing Beethoven's 5th. Since a symphony is performed by many people, and it would be impossible to sound like the whole thing simultaneously, his comment was idiotic. I think you misunderstood me.

Nobody in the video is playing 200 instruments. billyguns comment is based on knowledge combined with personal taste, and he also made comparison with three other versions. There is nothing wrong with his comment what so ever. You however seem like you don't know what you're talking about at all. Are you a musician yourself? Do you know anything about classical music? If not, you shouldn't open your mouth about it at all.

The downward gesture at the end of each phrase creates a blunt, unfulfilled ending, which doesn't allow the phrase to flow through to its logical conclusion. This surprised me, coming from an Italian; compare with Karajan and Fuirtwangler to see what I mean. They both provide longer phrases and a bigger architecture; Weingartner is great too.
