They made fun of Russians, I'm Russian Orthdox (American), and Chinese, but don't ever make fun of blacks. I have seen worst, things that should have been banned but weren't. Why, because we have a first amendment that allows us to insult any ethnic group you like, it doesn't mean you have to patronize it!

I agree with LordVolodor. Interesting enough, I arrived here from another vintage Betty Boop cartoon in which 'hillbillies' are caricatured.

This isn't really racist, but it does play on the stereotypes of the time. Besides, this is MUCH more tamed then some of the insulting things that are still allowed or have just become popular, like usng racial epitepths on your own race. The colorful three was a bit much, but to add injury to insult, they sang stereotypically like toneless minstrels.

You know how hard it is to find a gollywog plushie? I went to Wales (in UK for everyone else not British) on holiday recently and its the first time I'd seen them for sale. What you're looking at isn't racism, its a characatured stereotype of history (or maybe I just appreciate the days before the word Racism became fashionable).
