That is an utter insult to the man's talent and his modest proficiency of it and from your part merely conveys your fantastic levels of ignorance in saying something like that. Please do understand, I am NOT judging your taste but merely your lack 'musical judgment', something apparently I lack in the heat of this 'personal' argument. However according to you I am to succumb to your 'musical judgement', a man who deems this performance as that of an 11 year old. Your hypocrisy knowns no limits.

Furthermore learn to differentiate between a man's talent and a man's proficiency at a certain skill or art. 'Talent' simply implied potential, and this man has no lack of that. But please do NOT, be presumptuous enough to an extreme where arrogance merges into the realm of utter stupidity. What does he have to do with opera? A lot more than most of what his contemporaries do. Yes, his mastery of his art isn't up to par as of yet, but that's not to say he's at a level of an 11 year old.

The 'name calling' I had to resort to under the assumption you were merely a tasteless brute. But I humbly acknowledge, I was wrong, you are not a brute. And any questioning of someone's individual taste begs the inevitable outcome of someone taking it 'persona'. Don't be a hypocrite by saying, I shouldn't, and don't be ignorant by simply disregarding the element hypocrisy involved in everything you say. If you are to question my taste you, sir are certainly making it 'personal'.

Why Thank you! At least you did not feel personally attacked because someone voiced a criticism. You may have read how because of such criticism that some people here lose all sense of musical judgement and resort to petty name calling. What should have been a normal discourse turned out to be childish pettiness. I thank you again for your level headedness.

Agreed, there are tenors who are easily equal to and much better than Paul Potts out there, but what you have to remember is they are professionals. They practice virtually every day, they have personal voice trainers, and they do their utmost to preserve their voice... Paul Potts works/worked at Carphone Warehouse.

First off, I never questioned HIS talents. I have merely questioned your taste and lack of ability to discern between one who is an amature and a master at his craft. I find it always amusing and interesting, how when an opposite opinion is taken, the necessity of others in becoming abusively personal. "Presumptuous" I may be but I believe a frontal labotomy would do you wonders. Don't take it personally! It is a recommendation as a possible cure for you. Over and out!

WOW!!!!!! he looks like a dumpy little chipmunk, but his voice is a waterfall of diamonds. my mom watched this- she loved it too. and we're not even opera fans.
