I was four years old when this ad was around. But just replace Goldwater with McCain pushing the button. The guy wants the war in Iraq to last for a hundred years...and he's just itching to Bomb, bomb, bomb, BOMB IRAN.No matter what party people vote for, be careful because nowadays you don't know who to trust.

it was only shown once because it only need to be aired once...because of how controversial it was, every news station picked it up and played it....so there was no need in paying to have it aired...they were pretty much getting free airtime...it was brilliant

Yo. It was only ever shown once, apparently because they were worried that it was so effective it might make people sorry for the other guy

L-B-J, L-B-J, how many of 'God's Children' did you kill today?

I could not agree with you more on that point.

bowey1970, Oh, it doesn't really matter. After eight years with George W. Bush as President, the United States Constitution is pretty much obsolete anyway. I expect that on his last day in office, Bush will use the Constitution for toilet paper. Then he will give it to Dick Cheney to use for his shotgun target practice.

Sorry, I couldn't help myself. I just took a criminal law class and yes I did read it. It actually goes along with three amendments. I had to apply this knowledge somewhere because I didn't go into law. I went into the medical field. Nice debate though.

Tony Schwartz, R.I.P.Schwartz, a media consultant, created this ad. He suffered from agoraphobia since the age of 13 yet accomplished many things entirely within his Manhattan home. He was an art director; advertising executive; urban folklorist (in one project, capturing the cacophony of New York streets on phonograph records); radio host; Broadway sound designer; college professor; media theorist; author; and maker of commercials for products, candidates and causes. |
