I'm actually an Apache pilot...and funny enough...THIS IS FROM MY BATTALION...LOL. I always get a kick out of how some people think they know so much about Apaches...LOL

you just welcomed him to the misinformation stupid highway. congrats.

not necesarily, they can fly perpendicular to a target and still engage it... MORON...
Kirov686 (July 26, 2008 at 8:43 am)
Go off calling me a moron? Obviously you have no clue what you're talking about, civilian. I know the sight reticles and symbology of an Apache like the back of my hand. I've been a mechanic on the Apache for four years, and in August I'm leaving for Alabama for Flight School. Don't sit there and tell me how Apache's fly and fight. There are numerous tactics they use, and this is one of them. Ignorant ass trying to make a name for himself. You should know how stupid you look right now.

wow silent... you knwo your stuff really well huh? The apache pilots working to keep the vehicle in the gunners (well, technically TV operators) sight... which, at that distance, on moving targets... takes MOVEMENT... I know, genious concept... hard to grasp... but you should get it... if not... PM me... I'll make up some diagrams...
SilentTrigger (July 25, 2008 at 8:41 pm)
no its not moron. apache helicopters dont do circles when engaging targets. they stay stationary in the air or do a straight run at the target.

Nice! Cool video!

Somebody said 'If it was an apache, it would be hovering'... not true, just because it's a helo doesn't mean it's gonna stay still, in my experiance with them (no combat sorties, but have friends with 'em) they keep on movin, they're helo's, they're targets, and standing still makes you an oh-so-nice one.

I'll post this one more time...this isnt an ac-130 of any model, this is an ah-64 apache, unless it's the new helicopter ac-130 with m230 30mm guns d:, cjs19kilo, they're upgrading all spooky's to Bushmaster II mk44 30mm guns, so far we have ~4 in service, 3 confirmed. Another fact I'd like to point out... when in gods name would a 4 engine prop plane be flying at that altitude? Sink rate, big arse target... no way could they get clearance for that... |
