I love what she said, "Well many men are not good lovers." She called Tom out on that one. And Tom wondering was sex is like for a woman and visa versa, as a woman I have always wondered that. But what a wonderful lady and Tom is a fair interviewer.

And yes, let me add my voice to the choir that misses Tom Snyder and the kinds of interesting TV talk shows (such as also Dick Cavett's, and Merv's & Mike's shows, David Susskind's) that are so noticeably absent from today's insulting, lowest common denominator-appealing television.Too much Jerry Springer and clones of his ilk, too many judge shows, and not enough truly entertaining & intelligent broadcasting!

Anyway, I feel fortunate that, even as a young boy, I was curious about such subjects, was aware of Jorgensen's pioneer status in this field.Thank you for sharing this.

Oh wow! I never knew Tom Snyder interviewed Jorgensen. I do recall seeing Jorgensen on "The Mike Douglas Show" back in the late 1960's or early '70's and asking my older sister how it was that a man could become a woman, and being just as confused as before I asked the question.

Little did I know when I was so confused watching that Mike Douglas show that about 25 years later I would one day be lead singer in a rock band that shared a bill with another trans-gender legend--Jayne County, a Warhol entourage member, who was also one of the pioneers of the '70's New York punk rock scene.

Oh wow! I never knew Tom interviewed Jorgensen. I recall a Mike Douglas interview with Jorgensen in the late 1960's or early '70's, and asking my sister how a guy could become a woman, and being just as confused as before I asked the question.Anyway, about a decade ago I recorded "The Christine Jorgensen Story" off of TNT, when cable had more interesting, older films. It's actually not a very great film, more of a curiosity, but still worth watching once.
