The Councillor fails to mention however, that it is often the Ontario municipalities themselves that lobby FOR loopholes. (Think Bill 130 and the powerful lobbying by the Association of Municipalities of Ontario to avoid legitimate accountability by insisting that The Province allow them to choose their own "investigators".)This same disease (municipal loopholes) coupled with no provincial oversight, manifests itself in other ways. Municipal secuity guards --for example, standards, training, policies, procedures, practices, implemention, supervision, codes of conduct, even their video surveillance initiatives are ALL left up to each municipality. To do. Or NOT do.We denounce the seemingly never-ending list of "NOT do"s when it comes to municipal security guards and operations.MISSISSAUGAWATCH is calling on The Province for a "level playing field" for all citizens of Ontario. After all, it was The Province who created The Problem.It seems, that Mississauga Councillor Pat Saito can't at least, NOT agree...
