You can still see them in concert and they're still great. Just not quite the same without Ibby (Jimmy Ibbotson), though. He was so much a part of this band for so many years and his absence is very noticeable.

I agree. Jerry Jeff Walker wrote the song and is the source. JJW and David Bromberg have the best version on YouTube. Bromberg is a great guitarist.

NGDB is absolutely the most underrated, but absolutley one of the most highly influential bands of the past 40 years.First REALLY heard them on a roadtrip to Denver in '83 when it was my turn to drive, and I saw a cassette called "Dirt, Silver, and Gold." Plugged it in and was hooked ever since. (Yes, I posted this elsewhere, but it had to be repeated). If you haven't been to a Dirt Band concert, hit one if you can before it's too late.

You can still see them in concert! I going to see them in Oct in Missouri at Wildwood Springs Lodge. Great "up close and Personal" concert. Have dinner with them, talk to them at breaks,- awesome.

I'd be excited for the 32099 covers of this song if it wasn't so fucking stupid to begin with.
