my uncle, Briana Keaulana, pioneered "tow in surfing" (using the jet ski)...you could find him at almost every big wave contest around the world...

what is even more unbelievable is that in his previous heat in the same contest, he got massacred by a huge wave and had to be pulled out by his partner, Brad Girlach (the guy you see riding the jet ski in this vid).
