It is the Andrews Sisters but a version recorded later on in their lives

the soldier with a trumpet at the first picture is a polish soldier at the top of the Monte Casino. Right after Poland liberated it from german paratroopers.

you sure this is the andrew sisters? doesn't sound right for them. They had a richer sound and less of a teen pop sound-this sounds like a remake passing as them.

No, the Christina Aguilera clip is in the style of the Andrew Sisters, but a song covered from Jerry Lee Lewis ^^ sweet though :)

The Aguilera/Perry song 'Candyman' is in the same style as this tune. (Note the 3-part harmony in the front line vocals, the Boogie-Woogie tempo, and the walking bass line in the rhythm section) The only thing they added to 'modernize' it was a bunch of hilariously dirty lyrics . . .
BoojumFed (March 23, 2007 at 10:42 pm)
The Andrew Sisters didn't really have a lot to do with Boogie-Woogie as a whole, themselves. They mostly did ballads and added this tune to their repitoire to sample the emerging boogie-woogie scene and liven up their shows.Lol, everyone is influenced by everyone else. That's just the nature of music . . .Anyway, Thank you SO MUCH for posting this tune. It may be one of the best things to come out of the 40's.

This recording it's more clear in sound than the video that show the girls singing to the camera. |
