"Battle of Myeongnyang (1597)"13 Korean ships vs. 333 Japanese ships--> Most Japanese ships destroyed, soldiers killed. Overwhelming victory for Korea.Note: Toyotomi Hideyoshi just united Japan for the first time in history (1590). Japan was never more powerful, intended to conquer the falling Ming Dynasty of China, but their forces were unable to get beyond the Korean peninsula. The dream ended in 1598. When the samurai had wars to fight and purposes to carry on.
