Yes, you sure can! Modified though which makes the magazine non readily detachable...

Wait so u could buy this weapon in the state of CA?

The flip up sights only come on the BUIS, HoloSight, and SWAT models. The basic no frills Optics Ready model does not have any sights. We do sell the SIG 556 front & rear sights as an option!

im pretty sure the sig556 does come with flip up sights, i just got one in the SWAT configuration about a month ago and it come with apeture sights

Yes it can be if the mag release is restricted or locked out and the magazine is fixed at 10rds in California.

The rifle comes as 4 different flavors from the factory: 556001 optics ready flat top, 556004 holosight Sigtac red dot, 556006 flip up sights built in, 556007 SWAT model w/ B-T aluminum quad rail. We were supposed to get the new California model from SIG directly to SIG Stocking dealers as model 556011 which had a 10rd mag and bullet button mag lock but never came to reality...

Yes these rifles take the standard AR mag button that has been modified with a setscrew. These rifles need to be locked down so that the mag release is not functional. Needs to be top loaded by pulling the rear takedown pin and splitting in half to load.

Does the 556 take an AR bullet button, or does it need something different?

That rifle comes with a flip-up front and rear sights.

HA HA HA. Even in Australia we're allowed to own better guns and we've been screwed by some of the worst gun bans ever seen(only china and UK are worse). Well they let us have sights on our bolt actions anyway. |
