If only I had'nt heard Bert Jansch playing this 38years ago I'd never have become hooked and could have done something useful with my life.

Bron-Yr-Aur was released on Physical Graffiti, not Led Zeppelin IV.

This was a great influence on me in high school back in the sixties. Definitely helped to formulate my style of playing the guitar. Great to hear this again!!

They of course released the song as Bron-yr-Aur on Zep IV some five years after Jansch released Black Orion.

I agree dazzahoff. Bert Jansch is a musical GENIUS. But unlike say Jimmy Page, Richie Blackmore or Hendrix not as well known. Apparently Jimmy Page was obssessed by him in his youth. Why even a few of Led Zeppelin's key songs such as Black Mountainside, White Summer, were Bert Jansch covers. |
