GrayMentos, it has many components of a normal drumset and could easily play a variety of music... yea, it won't be able to do the flexibility of other instruments, but it can still provide a lot more than you can possibly imagine.

Why do you care about those long comments? Two people were having a conversation with each other, not about how they liked the video. They were arguing about the possibility of building the real version of this machine. And I think it's stupid to complain about the length of other people's comments.

this is a LONG comment to show how anoying long comments can be. I mean what is the point of a long comment, for a vid. Just say what you liked about the vid and what you didnt, end of story. I mean the complicity of making a long comment is pointless, even this comment is pointless, and there is no reason for anyone to read past the seccond line of this comment because its soo pointless, just like every other comment. Most ppl dont understand that ppl just read the first line.

Thats the problem. Since this thing can only play one song, the only thing it can do to gain publicity it to play that single song over, and over again. If it could play a variety of music, it would be a different story, but because it can only do one thing, its more like watching a movie. Its cool to watch it, but most people only watch a movie one time. I doubt that this would be able to make more money than its worth.

I understand it would cost alot, but I never expected a civilian or small group of civilians to create it and it keep it for themselves, I expected more along the lines of some group higher up in status since a group of everyday people doing so is unlikely, let alone costly, and it would be a display of engineering and musical prowess so it would get some attention (from modern marvels or something). So the attention and press coverage could help with the cost after time. :)

To me, the only problem is that this would cost ALOT and it would only to play one song. Not only is this gonna be super expensive, but its not gonna be worth any of the effort being put into creating it. Therefore, it obviously could be built, but nobody in the world would spend thousands of dollars on a huge machine that only plays a single song which lasts only three and a half minutes.
