Did anybody notice that the riff of dream theater's "let me breath" is very similar to this one?

To JazzzRockFuzion... I AM SO SORRY MAN, i intented to give you a thums UP comment but the darn mouse moved the moment i click... Again, i am sorry... I totally agree with your coment... among my most valued music treasures are the "Feels Good To Me", "One Of A Kind" "Gradually Going Tornado" and "The Bruford Tapes" LP's (yes, vynil), which i keep in mint condition.

Is the same video used for the Bruford DVD release "Rock Goes To College" ? Great sounds, man. Nice to see giants like Holdsworth and Berlin on the same stage.

YES! YOU GOT THAT RIGHT! I meant to say, Yes he played live.. that was his own band. Saw him in '84 in Buffalo, NY. Had front row table and made a casette recording. What a clinic he put on.

ALL these cats were ahead of their time- Stewart using a Yamaha Digital Piano way before samplers became common place- Holdsworth playing liquid legato lines years before "the metal crowd" came on the scene- Berlin playing extremely advanced slapping that wouldn't be heard until Wooten came along- Bruford rocking the roto toms and breezing over odd time signatures. This was THE group is jazz fusion. Word to these cats.

I saw Holdsworth play here in Boston with Stanley Clarke and Stewart Copeland. Heknows his rhythm sections......

I saw him play many times. He always seemed to have Les Pauls with him, or SGs as they were called later. He actually prefered those crappy trems on Gibsons but he never abused them like his friend Eddie. Peace on,,,,,

Saw Holdsworth live about 2 months ago, he seemed to be having a pretty good time.Of course, it was HIS band and he could improvise as much as he wanted.
