ok u bunch o retards iv playd the game many times. the name red 13 was given 2 him by hojo or mojo wateva his name was .the name nanaki was given to him at birth not by bugenhagen but his mother or fatheroh yea hes not a f@#$%n cat he is a F@#$@n dogthis movi is ok but it hasnt got enuf of red get sum footage af the game or otha movisps i think ff 7 is comin out on ps3

I'm glad he was atleast included in the movie. (his fur looks like carpet by the way)I think many consider him(including me) to be more important than Yuffie and Vincent.

Nanaki was his birth name.Bugenhagen referred to him as that atleast once; that should be how we find out about it.I'm not completely sure..Haven't played in almost a decade but Nanaki is definitely his real name.

No, SquareEnix says Nanaki is a canine. And NANAKI was his test name, his new name is Red XIII. Anyway, this was awesome, I've always had a soft spot for this guy. He's so full of WIN!
