tavai, I totally agree. The next generation are not going to experience the real New Zealand and thats the tragedy, the country is changing and I'm not sure its for the best, but as long as we keep Aotearoa in our hearts it will never die.

This song is a sad song thats why it makes you feel emotional.Hes singing about NZ being colonized, "Queen Bee and her company / empty words and extra noughts" I think this is a refrence to the treaty and its empty promises, and how our home land and sea is a trendy commodity."She cant see her flowers through her own trees",She cant see the beautiful culture and land that was already here,because of her own perception of what is beautiful or right.

Im in Aussie now and although the moneys good & im living flash i still miss just walking bear foot on the beach with fam & freinds,going eeling,diving 4 pauas and kinas,having a jug at the local,swimming at the river,having a BBQ & a game of touch rugby,looking at the greenery,having a bonfire on the beach smoking a phat one with the boys,man i miss home.....im coming back no doubt about it!
