Amen. I can listen to this over and over and not get tired of it. I just wish those who criticize could get over the fact that it's a cover. After all, the original writer has blessed Johnny's make. Music is not just about one person... it's about the world. The writer of "Hurt" (thank God) understands this... or we would have never been blessed by this incredible piece of art.

I grew up with Johnny Cash... but I never realized how amazingly talented he was. When I first heard this song I had to have it... now I regret not appreciating Johnny's amazing ability to place tremendous emotion in his songs. I have become a true JC fan...

elvis did do alot of pills but the first pills given to johnny cash were actually given to him by his doctor when he said that it was hard for him to keep up with the rock star lifestyle
