I like how he makes trumpet playing look real difficult by stopping every few seconds to look around, lick his fingers, and pacing around on stage. Love the showmanship!!!

bitches brew was by NO means a disaster.
clewisfan (July 13, 2008 at 3:30 pm)

i know we all like to throw comments around, but how would u feel if u went to say dennys in 1988 and saw miles making pancakes with a apron on. i mean after that disaster with bitches brew he no longer had any clout, respect or influence with any record excets. basically u do what u are told and hope they disturbute it. serv the masses no matter how bad the masses taste is. kenny g was a good point, love the reference....but hey, coke played a role in his agreement to record shit,
battlecat1979 (July 12, 2008 at 10:23 pm)

You are 100% wrong. To quote Gil evans: "Miles always did pop songs, terrible songs at times, but he always did something with them. Great music came out of it."."My funny Valentine", wanst that a pop song?

Amazing. Beautiful. It's as heavy-hearted as the Cyndi Lauper version. Only Miles could pull this off.

I think that this period of Miles Davis' music, chronicled on "Live Around the World" was really great. The sax solo by Kenny Garrett on Human Nature on that album is insane
