I'm curious, this song has always puzzled me because of the video, how do you interpret it. In the 80's, I didn't pay much attention to most of the videos on MTV, because they tended to ruin songs much like this one. I mean how could someone dedicate this to a girl they had a break up with, when just about everyone had MTV at the time, and she was bound to see the video. Maybe you wanted her back, and she's looking at a girl in some kind of insane asylum.
